LEBANON COUNTRY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN CONFEDERATION
 
The Fencing Federation of Lebanon become member of the Mediterranean Confederation.
Lebanon is the eighteenth country in the Confederation.
The event has taken place in Damascus on December 3rd 2009.
M. Ziad El-Choueiri, the Lebanese president, subscribed the statutes of the Confederation.

The results of the Assemblies of Loures

Thirteen of seventeen countries, the Mediterranean attended the General Meetings which were held in Loures June 21, 2009: ALG, CRO, CYP, EGY, ESP, FRA, GRE, ITA, MLT, MON, SVN, TUR and TUN .
The Ordinary General Assembly has finalized the date, place and program for next championships will take place at:

 

  ZRENJANIN (SRB) le 30/31 january and february 1 2010

  Program in varied : CADETS : six indivdual competitions
                                     JUNIORS : six individual competitions
                            JUNIORS : two team comptitions

The date of last weekend in January is to keep the following years.
The Federation of St. Marino and Croatia have announced the presentation of the candidacy of their countries to host the 2011 or 2012 editions.
The Extraordinary Assembly unanimously approved the amendments to the Statutes proposed by the Executive Committee. New articles are available on the website of the Confederation.
Assembly elected Elective Yannis Hadjarapis (Cyp) and Ilhami Ozdemir (Tur) the Executive Committee.
Ilhami Özdemir is the new treasurer.

SYRIAN COUNTRY IN THE MEDITERRANEAN CONFEDERATION
 
The Syrian Arab Fencing Federation (SAFF) become member of the Mediterranean Confederation.
Syria is the seventeenth country in the Confederation, the first Asiatic.
The event has taken place in Belfast on April 5th 2009.
M. Abdulbasit Zakaria, the Syrian president, subscribed the statutes of the Confederation.
